Our Story
The tale of TATSIS began in 1993 when its founder, Georgios Tatsis, opened a modest dairy workshop in Arta. This small venture quickly earned a reputation for crafting exquisite yoghurt and feta from both sheep’s and cow’s milk.
Over the years, TATSIS has perfected a unique recipe for producing high-quality dairy products with an unmistakable flavour. Every day, milk is collected from select farms in the Arta region, chosen according to the most rigorous international safety and quality standards. This careful selection ensures that each modern dairy creation is as pure as it is delicious, offering consumers products renowned for their exceptional quality and authentic taste.
Today, TATSIS Dairy remains a proud family-run enterprise. Specialising in the production and export of feta and graviera (to markets including the USA, Canada, Lithuania, and Romania), the company continues to process local sheep’s milk, producing the traditional Arta cheeses in a variety of packaging options. The highly skilled and dedicated team at the dairy upholds a proud tradition, all the while working in harmony with the local environment to ensure the smallest possible impact.
Exports now constitute 55% of TATSIS’ total sales, with the remaining 45% enjoyed by consumers in the Greek market. The company places great emphasis on the quality and hygiene of its products. This commitment is maintained through stringent milk quality checks and the use of traditional production methods, carefully adapted to modern technology.
Every step of the production process is subject to modern quality control measures, from the meticulous collection of milk to the final production of the dairy products. Proudly, our dairy is certified under the strict HACCP system.
